R.S. Owens Announces 2009 President's and Other Award Winners
As part of the R.S. Owens' Four Star Recognition Program, company president Scott Siegel, MAS, awarded R.S. Owens' 2009 President's Award to Barb LaMonte, customer service professional. The President's Award is the highest honor of Owens' Recognition Program, and includes an etched glass award, as well as tickets and expenses to attend the 2011 Oscars.
Said Siegel, "Barb is passionate and puts her heart and soul into her work and I am proud to present her with this year's President's Award.” Siegel added, “We have a tiered program during the year; each month, employees may be nominated by peers and managers for an 'Above and Beyond' award, which recognizes employees who go the extra mile and make an important contribution to the company's success.”
Human resources manager Kathy Wemlinger commented,"We just completed the first year of our Four Star Recognition Program and it is meeting its goal of improving company morale by having continuous celebrations throughout the year, recognizing top performance in the office and the factory.”
In addition to the President's Award, several other R.S. Owens' employees received Above and Beyond awards. Winners included:
