Sanford Announces New Sales Force Leadership
Sanford Business-to-Business, based in Janesville, Wis., reemphasized its commitment to the promotional products field with the announcement of two new sales leadership positioned to support its promotional product distributor partners. With the redirection of sales activities previously dedicated to the pharmaceutical channel due to the recent Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) Code revision allowing distribution of only medically relevant logoed items within the pharmaceutical industry, “[This] gives us the opportunity to realign internal talents and create a sales team clearly focused on developing marketing activities to better serve our promotional products distributors,” commented Bob Stoltz, president of Sanford Business-to-Business. “Both positions will be based from the headquarter facility, providing a stronger link between external and internal activities and increased communication and reactivity regarding our distributor needs.”
Industry veteran Rick Picciano was named to the newly created position of national account manager. Picciano will apply his industry tenure to develop strategies and programs to be applied across all national accounts. Most recently national key account manager for the pharmaceutical channel, Picciano will use his knowledge and experience to form even stronger partnerships with national accounts by working closely with marketing and other functional areas to develop and deliver programs for mutual growth.
In conjunction with this renewed focus, Gary Kroll is named to the position of field sales manager. In this role, Kroll will focus the combined efforts of Sanford Business-to-Business’ inside sales team and external sales force to support and grow sales of important, middle market distributors. He retains and expands his current responsibilities as business development manager. “Gary is well-suited to translate distributor needs into meaningful programs that will support the sales efforts of all distributor partners,” added Stoltz.
The newly created sales management structure is augmented by a national sales and marketing manager for the hospitality channel, currently filled by Dale Kleinman. “This new sales structure positions us to better align with the needs of our distributor partners and provides stronger support to mutually grow sales,” Stoltz elaborated.
