Showdown Displays Announces Two Executive Promotions
Showdown Displays, a domestic manufacturer and supplier of portable trade show displays, signage and event marketing products, recently announced the promotion of two of its employees. Pete Langdon was promoted to national sales director and Darryl Holleman was promoted to vice president of national accounts, both taking on the responsibilities previously fulfilled by Pete Nutty, who resigned in May. Showdown elected to break apart Nutty's position, to focus better on its customers.
Langdon will be responsible for managing and directing the day-to-day operations of Showdown's sales teams in all field territories. Prior to his new position, Langdon was national accounts manager at Showdown. Kevin Walsh, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Showdown, was pleased to have him on board, "Since joining Showdown nearly two years ago, Pete has made remarkable contributions to our growth, while strengthening our communications with our distributor partners," Walsh said. "His deep industry knowledge and experience leading sales teams made him an ideal fit in this new role, leading the independent and factory sales teams for Showdown Displays."
Holleman's newly created position will focus on management and growth of existing national account relationships. "Darryl's skills, knowledge and experience ideally align for this new role," Walsh said. Holleman will oversee the activities of the company's national account and client services teams, and focus on fortifying and growing its partnership with those strategic relationships. Currently he is supervising Showdown's Care and Order Entry teams, but will begin his new adventure once his duties are completed with his present position. "He's a six-year veteran of Showdown Displays, having previously had responsibility for national accounts, then leading our entire customer care, order entry and graphics teams. That experience will be a tremendous asset collaborating with our strategic and national accounts, helping to fortify our relationships while driving growth for those distributor partners", said Walsh.
