SHOWTIME Clarifies Role with GCPPA
Contrary to a previous news release, Alan Goldfarb’s SHOWTIME company, Greenland, N.H., will assist the Gold Coast Promotional Products Association (GCPPA) with an event scheduled to take place on Oct. 10, in Ft. Laurderdale, Fla. The news release erroneously stated that SHOWTIME will manage the event.
Goldfarb will bring to Ft. Laurderdale dozens of suppliers who are participating in SHOWTIME’s final 2007 week of traveling shows. However, management of the event is the sole responsibility of GCPPA.
Goldfarb expressed his regret for the error, but reiterated his enthusiasm for his company’s willingness to work with leaders of regional associations to stage better events for local audiences.
“In the case of GCPPA, my job is to deliver the suppliers who will be on the road with me the same week,” explained Goldfarb. “We begin in Tampa on Monday and Orlando on Tuesday. After the GCPPA event on Wednesday in Ft. Lauderdale, we continue on to Charlotte on Thursday and Atlanta on Friday.”
Goldfarb further explained there are other regional associations around the country who do not have GCPPA’s resources and experience in managing a trade show event. His services range from the selection of the venue to pre-show marketing and planning, to on-site supervision and post-show follow-up.
