Superior Uniform Group, Seminole, Fla., recently participated in the "Drop (Off) Your Drawers" clothing drive hosted by Clothes To Kids. The annual event encourages local businesses and organizations to collect new socks and underwear for school-aged children who may be in need of a new school wardrobe.
The "Drop (Off) Your Drawers" drive was organized internally by Superior Uniform Group's Green Team. In addition, another clothing drive was organized earlier in the year as part of the company's annual Green event, which promotes a variety of eco-friendly activities and community support.
A non-profit organization, Clothes To Kids is dedicated to providing a full wardrobe to low-income or in-crisis school-age children in Pinellas County, Fla., at no cost. Clothes To Kids envisions a community in which every school-age child has quality clothing so that he or she may attend school with the confidence needed to achieve academic success.
"Being actively involved in our community is a hallmark of Superior Uniform Group," said Michael Benstock, CEO. "We are devoted to helping our customers enhance their professional image via apparel so we understand how feeling good about what you are wearing can be a self-esteem builder for a child."
Since 2011, Superior Uniform Group has donated more than 17,000 new, first-quality garments to Clothes To Kids, in addition to thousands of gently used items. Superior Uniform Group employees have also volunteered at the Pinellas County, Fla., location.
