Sweda Company Hires Three Key Members to Management Team
In a move to strengthen their overall customer experience, Jim Hagan, president and CEO of City of Industry, California-based Sweda Company announced the hiring of three new members of the company’s management team: Suzie Gunsauls, formerly of Leeds/Polyconcept, became the new vice president of sales; Lou Nicolaides, previously with Mars Inc., will be the new director of marketing; and James Visperas, formerly of Bare Escentuals, will be Sweda’s new inside sales manager.
“Experts in their areas with strong and diverse backgrounds, Suzie, Lou, and James provide the clear, strategic thought and creativity required as we focus on communicating our capabilities, enhancing our brand, supporting our customers and generating sustainable, profitable growth,” said Hagan.
For 13 years, Gunsauls worked as Leed’s national sales manager and national account manager, helping the company become a top supplier. In her new position at Sweda, Gunsauls will develop and execute new strategic sales efforts for North America.
“Sweda’s leadership in ad specialties is well-known, as is their reputation for quality, innovative products and service,” said Gunsauls. “With major infrastructure improvements in 2008 complete, I see huge potential for sales growth. I’m truly excited to be a part of this new team.”
A newcomer to ad specialties, Nicolaides was hired to bring in a new strategic marketing plan to Sweda Company. Formerly with Mars Inc., he was marketing and communications manager for Nutro Products Inc., part of Mars Inc.’s pet-care division. Prior to that, Nicolaides was director of marketing for Helen Grace Chocolates Inc. In his new role, he will help redefine Sweda Company’s core value proposition, enhance sales/marketing materials and improve online and offline communications.
An expert in customer care, call center management and sales support, Visperas came to Sweda Company from Bare Escentuals. Prior to that, he spearheaded new-business development at Mercedes Benz, where he created new processes and improved customer service. “My top priority is to set the highest standards ever for Sweda’s customer experience—a goal that makes joining Sweda all the more exciting,” said Visperas.
