Team USA Got a Huge Gift Set from Nike, Oakley, Ralph Lauren and More
The best thing an Olympic athlete can leave with is a medal. That’s the ultimate souvenir, isn’t it?
It’s also, you know, extremely difficult to achieve (unless you’re Simone Biles or Michael Phelps). But Olympians who don’t land on the podium won’t leave empty handed, because the team’s sponsors hooked them up with a pretty awesome gift bag upon arrival.
USA rugby player Cody Melphy posted a video on TikTok showing off the gifts, which included Oakley sunglasses, a Samsung smartphone and wireless earbuds, and much more.
Nike, being the main apparel sponsor for Team USA, went big with the branded products, which included all sorts of apparel, caps, footwear, duffel bags and more.
Team USA pole vaulter Katie Nageotte posted her own rundown of the gifts, going in-depth with each gift set from the various sponsors. She highlighted loungewear from Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS brand, a Team USA-branded facemask, socks and a watch (which came in what she calls “the first bag”).
“I mean, you name it, we got it,” Nageotte said. “I mean, we got decked out.”
There’s also the Ralph Lauren set, which we highlighted before, and a whole line of Team USA apparel specifically for media appearances, such as a rain jacket and T-shirts.
With all of the gift sets for award shows or other sporting events, like college football Bowl Games, did we really think sponsors wouldn’t go all out for such a noteworthy occasion? If you’re good enough at your sport to make the Olympic team, you’re going to want to show it off every chance you get. Also, you’ll need to rep your country while you hang out in the Olympic Village.
And there's plenty to share with family members and friends once they get back to the States.

Honestly, this might be even nicer than the gold medal. Yeah, yeah, we know. There's that whole "pinnacle of athletic achievement" thing that comes with winning your event. But, just look at this merchandise! That's a gift set that rivals even the swankiest movie awards.
