Tee's Plus, the distributor and screen-printer located in Groton, Conn., has been acquired by Red Rocket Merchandising Corp. The Westbrook, Connecticut-based custom printing company finalized the deal last week.
"Tee's Plus is open for business," said Ed Cook, CEO of Rocket Merchandising Corp., in a press release. "We will continue to serve regional and national clients with premium branded merchandise and promotional products."
Allen Graham, CEO for Tee's Plus, said in March that the company would soon be closing, citing the weaker economy and mounting debts. The company had shed most of its employees since the start of 2012, some of whom went on to form R&B Apparel Plus.
Cook has said that Tee's Plus will becoming the custom-printing division for the company and will continue to operate under the Tee's Plus name. Red Rocket Merchandising did not purchase the old Tee's Plus property, and will be moving production to facilities in Essex, Old Saybrook and Westbrook.
