Promo Marketing: What led to your company’s success in 2015?
Ross Silverstein: iPROMOTEu remains the best economic and lifestyle arrangement for industry distributors and salespeople. In addition to having a superior platform that continues to attract experienced distributors and salespeople, iPROMOTEu has a laser focus on helping its customers—its independent distributor affiliates—be more productive, more profitable and happier.
PM: How did you grow your company into what it is today?
RS: Lots of hard work, having great people help me and an unwavering focus on the needs of our affiliates.
PM: What challenges do distributors face in the promotional products industry? How can they solve them?
RS: A distributor’s biggest challenge is to continually generate meaningful sales volume at healthy margins. In the midst of increased competition (seemingly, from all directions) and more knowledgeable and scrutinizing buyers, this is a difficult challenge, indeed. One needs to regularly prospect for new customers, maintain strong relationships with existing customers, and work tirelessly to develop creative ideas. In addition, distributors need to stay on top of all the paperwork, all the details and all the mind-numbing, non-revenue generating activity.
