The Flesh Company, St. Louis, has recently released a new white paper entitled "Document Security," which is available as a PDF download from www.fleshco.com. The paper discusses the risks involved in counterfeit attacks, targeted documents and deterrent methods available.
"Even as the check market declines, we continue to see new opportunities in security printing in other areas such as vital records, car titles, certificates of origin and documents of authentication," said Roger Buck, CDC, marketing director for The Flesh Company.
A few months ago The Flesh Company announced a new LaserLock coating that can be applied over VOID pantographs. This aids in toner adhesion in cases where heavy printing may cover up a mill applied adhesion coating.
"ID theft and brand fraud have passed check fraud as a financial loss to USA companies," Buck said. "For a distributor this can be a huge market using integrated cards, labels, licenses and permits to name a few."
The Flesh Company will be posting a follow up white paper in the near future providing distributors a tool to open a discussion with an account regarding risk analysis. For more information, visit The Flesh Company's website.
