The Image Forge Earns Award for Aprons, Etc. Catalog Design
The Image Forge, Greer, S.C., has been awarded an American Graphic Design Award in the Catalog category for their work on The Aprons, Etc. Idea Book 2011. The catalog is a major redesign of the way Aprons, Etc. communicates through its catalog and is the fifth catalog produced with The Image Forge.
"We place the highest value on the relationships we have with our clients," said Martin Miller, owner and founder of The Image Forge. "We have been honored to work so closely with Aprons, Etc. for several years and we are very pleased that The Idea Book has received this recognition."
The Image Forge developed with Aprons, Etc the concept of an idea book rather than a simple listing of products. "The direction was to create a book that ignites the creative process while featuring the wide product offering from Aprons, Etc.," noted Miller. The catalog was designed with nine lifestyle dividers that suggested how products fit into various business scenarios like trade shows, in-store product sampling and "green" initiatives and promotions.
"The 2011 Aprons, Etc. Idea Book and product catalog allows a fresh look at discovering new and innovative promotional product ideas for targeted industry marketing promotions, events and campaigns for both our distributor partners and their end-user client sales interaction," said Scott Thackston, president of Aprons, Etc.
In discussing the concept and the departure from previous catalogs, Thackston also said, "Our goal was to refresh business in 2011 coming out of the economic downturn. We featured nine key industry categories of promotional products that advertise proven, successful collections. Our Idea Book connects you with the best ROI marketing solution at a competitive price and with strong options for every size advertising budget."
The Image Forge unveiled the award in a ceremony and reception in their offices at the Historic Greer Train Depot. The ceremony was attended by Aprons, Etc. and several business and economic leaders.
