The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that The James Trading Group, Orangeburg, N.Y., has issued a recall for its Croker Kids Ireland Sports Hoodie. The sweatshirts feature a drawstring around the neck, which can get caught or entangled around playground equipment, posing a strangulation hazard to children.
The hoodie has green fabric on the upper chest and arms, with a whilte stripe across the torso and a blue bottom half of the hoodie, and says "Ireland" in white letters across the front.
No injuries have been reported, but the CPSC recommended that consumers immediately take the hoodies away from children, and remove the drawstring from the hoodie to eliminate the hazard. Consumers can also return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
The hoodies were sold in Irish boutiques and retail stores nationwide, as well as online at www.thejtg.com from November 2012 to August 2015.
