Team USA 2014 Winter Olympics Uniforms Revealed
The 2014 uniforms are 100 percent made in the USA after outrage at the 2012 summer Olympics uniforms being made in China. Ralph Lauren has since vowed to make all future Team USA uniforms in the United States. (Though not all Olympic supporters have followed suit.)
The opening ceremony uniforms consist of a cardigan, a turtleneck, fleece athletic pants, black leather boots, a cotton belt and a hat. The closing ceremony ensembles, which were revealed in October 2013, feature a different hat and turtleneck, as well as a red and blue coat.
The patriotic items bear a hefty price tag with items costing between $75 and $598 for consumers. If you do decide to splurge on a Team USA uniform, know that 100 percent of the proceeds go to the U.S. Olympic Committee.
This is the fourth time Ralph Lauren has designed the Team USA uniforms and the company is contracted to produce uniforms for all of the Olympic games through 2020.
