'The Walking Dead' Uses Adult Diapers as Promo Items
For the show's season 8 premier, it's debuting "Negan's Sh*ttin' Pants," i.e. actual adult diapers.
Here's a little backstory (which I needed, too, because I stopped watching at the third season): The character Negan, who you might remember for inspiring promotional campaigns that involved spiked bats sent to MLB players and potentially offensive T-shirts, asks another character (and we're paraphrasing here) if he's wearing pants that he feels comfortable soiling, because it's about to happen.
So, for just $19.99, fans of the show can get their very own "Walking Dead" adult diapers.
Remember T-shirts? Did we suddenly start thinking T-shirts were too dull for promotional campaigns?
We're kidding. This is just about as creative as you can get. Fans of pop culture love commemorating their favorite moments and episodes through physical merchandise, and this is a pretty hilarious gag gift for the "Walking Dead" fan in your life.
This isn't the first diaper-themed promotion we've seen. Remember when MLB teamed up with the Honest Company to create diapers for different clubs?
Please, promotional products distributors, keep pushing the boundaries of promotional campaigns further. These are the things that catch eyes, and these are the ones that get remembered.
