Trade Only Helps Distributors Grow Online Sales with New Web Tools
Trade Only, Costa Mesa, Calif., has developed several new features for its STORE website platform, designed to help promotional product distributors cash in on the growth in online sales.
The first new feature is the ability to place individual items on sale, facilitating "deals of the day" and other customer incentives. Trade Only STORE allows users to apply sale pricing by quantity, either as a percentage discount or a new price. The new price is displayed alongside the original price on the product detail view, and can be turned off with one click.
The second is The Decorator Matrix. This enables distributors to add their screen and embroidery costs to all plain stock apparel items in one go, so that they can sell items from major suppliers such as alphabroder, S&S, Sanmar and Bodek & Rhodes, complete with decoration pricing, setup, shipping and sales tax. They can also choose to override the suppliers' minimum order quantities.
The Baymard Institute's research shows that 56 percent of shoppers will not complete their purchase if presented with unexpected costs*, so by simply adding in decoration costs, distributors could see significant growth in online sales.
"These new STORE website features are focused on helping distributors grow online sales so that they can benefit from the 5 percent year-on-year increase we're seeing in online sales of promotional products, without having to invest in enterprise-priced solutions," Deborah Wilkinson, Trade Only's chief product development officer, said.
