The word "trendy" has a double meaning. On the one hand, it's a compliment. It means your duds are "of the moment," "in keeping with the times" and totally befitting of a fashionista. On the other hand, it means your "in" look will soon be "out." Flash forward a few years and that style is not only dated, but laughed at. You want to say to your mockers (likely your children), "But acid-wash jeans were so cool back then." No one hears your protests because they are too busy reveling in current trends (neon shoes, yes please). Don't worry. Their day of sartorial embarrassment will come.
