The word "trendy" has a double meaning. On the one hand, it's a compliment. It means your duds are "of the moment," "in keeping with the times" and totally befitting of a fashionista. On the other hand, it means your "in" look will soon be "out." Flash forward a few years and that style is not only dated, but laughed at. You want to say to your mockers (likely your children), "But acid-wash jeans were so cool back then." No one hears your protests because they are too busy reveling in current trends (neon shoes, yes please). Don't worry. Their day of sartorial embarrassment will come.
Everyone who indulges in current fashion trends knows that one day (perhaps in a week, perhaps in 10 years), they will feel mild shame for their ventures in fads. However, for promotional fashion lovers, this rule does not apply. By the time trends hit this industry, they are boiled down to their most basic forms, making them fit for an imprint. This means promotional apparel does not suffer from the double-edged sword that is "trendy." The lack of dated trends in the industry also means imprinted garb can last longer than one season and one promotion. So, embrace trends and sell the tees and tanks below.
