“What do you want to be when you grow up?” Remember that question? I certainly do, and I look back with a laugh and a smile now on all of the things I dreamed of being. I recall that one month I tried (and failed) to ride a skateboard, after which it became clear I had the balance of a bisected Weeble.
I also remember my obsession with comics, and the many times I tried to create my own. Childhood is a time for dreaming, after all, and at least I get to write for a living! As it turns out, however, a new collaboration between Vans and "Peanuts" is trying to keep such dreams alive.
For Vans' Fall 2017 collection, Vans and Peanuts have come together to create a line of footwear with styles and sizes for men, women, children and toddlers. All the comic strip’s favorites are there, with a focus on Charlie Brown, Lucy and Snoopy. The collection also features items such as hats, T-shirts and socks.

While this collaboration may seem surprising or ill-fitting, the styles and prints prove otherwise. Unexpected and unique promotions such as this are sure to grab the interest of end-users who are looking for a bit of nostalgia, or maybe just show their love of cartoons every day.
Though I’ll never be a cartoonist or pro skateboarder, I can at least let my dreams live on through my choice of clothing. And now, end-users with similar aspirations can enjoy this licensing agreement and its products.
