Vernon Names Showdown Displays as Supplier of the Year for Second Year in a Row

The Vernon Company, Newton, Iowa, recognized Brooklyn Center, Minnesota-based Showdown Displays with the 2018 Supplier of the Year Award during the company’s annual National Sales Meeting in April at The Paradise Pointe Resort in San Diego, Calif. Shari Garvalis, national account manager for Showdown Displays, accepted the prestigious award for the second year in a row.

The Supplier of the Year Award is given annually to the industry supplier that provides the best overall service to The Vernon Company and its customers. The award is based on important quality considerations, including product selection and quality, pricing, customer service, problem resolution and marketing support programs.

“Typically, we like to spread the love around and recognize a different supplier each year because we have so many great ones," said Vicki Palm, director of marketing for Vernon. "But results of our survey don’t lie, and the results were pretty lopsided for this supplier. So, for the first time ever, we had a back-to-back award winner. Vernon sales with Showdown increased nearly 40 percent over the past year on top of the 20 percent increase last year.”
