"I am extremely excited for the opportunity to merge our efforts," Spellman said. "Having one place to go for all of our Victorinox, Victorinox Swiss Army, Wenger and Swiss Gear branded products will bring clarity and convenience to our distributor partners, and that is our goal."
"This is an exciting time for our company," added Kipp Acton, senior vice president of sales for Victorinox Swiss Army. "In just the last year we've merged with our sister company, Wenger, and acquired our travel gear licensee, TRG Group, both of which have significantly expanded our product assortment and employee base in very beneficial ways. Andrew's enthusiasm and positive approach to these opportunities, as well as his deep-rooted knowledge of this industry, will be key factors for success as we refocus our teams and approach."
