Visstun Expands with New Warehouse and New Hires
Las Vegas-based Visstun announced the company has expanded its facility with the opening of a new 19,800-square-foot warehouse located across the street from its Las Vegas headquarters building. With more than 95,000 square feet in the main production facilities, including 35,000 square feet in Utah, the company now has more than 115,000 total square feet.
The space will be used to store raw materials as well as house the company’s sample department and recycling operations. Previously, Visstun used an off-site contract warehouse for storage. Having blank stock on site gives the company even greater ability to respond quickly to large quantity orders.
Visstun also needed more square footage to establish its plastic recycling operation. “Having this additional space allows us to be more efficient with our recycling efforts,” said Ed Hamilton, Visstun president. “We recycle 100 percent of the waste and scrap generated during manufacturing by grinding it down to a particle size that can be reused by other molding and forming operations.”
Hamilton noted the new warehouse also gives the company more room to grow. “Since we are planning to purchase additional cup-forming machines, we need the room to allow the expansion in our main plant,” he said.
Visstun Hires Baker and Williams
Las Vegas-based Visstun announced the company hired George Baker and Rashaad Williams as sales counselors. In this position, each will be responsible for cultivating and servicing new and ongoing accounts, building relationships with distributors and helping them make the best product selections to meet the needs of customers.
Baker was previously sales account representative for J.G. Wentworth as well as a customer service representative for Verizon Wireless. Williams was most recently an insurance agent with American Income Life. Previously, he spent five years as a real estate agent with Re/Max Central where he received the President's Cup Award.
