Bodek and Rhodes, Philadelphia, received PPAI’s Supplier Golden Achievement Award for Self Promotion. This year marks the eighth consecutive year Bodek and Rhodes has been given the honor. The PPAI Supplier Achievement Awards program recognizes suppliers for craftsmanship, creativity and graphic arts. Bodek and Rhodes’ “BAM!” campaign targeted Adventures in Advertising franchise owners and aimed to encourage stronger relationships, boost traffic at Bodek and Rhodes’ exhibit at the AIA convention and to build buzz around Bodek and Rhodes’ service and selection. The campaign itself included promotional mailings of a barbeque mitt prior to Memorial Day, a pair of hot sauces 10 days prior

In an effort to recognize its members who provide excellent customer service, PPAChicago’s Board of Directors established the Windy Awards in 2005. As part of the winner selection process, distributors and suppliers are asked to nominate each other for a variety of award categories. Nominators provide a short description of how the nominated individuals have impressed them. The descriptions are then compiled without the respective company or individual names, and then the Board votes for the winner based on the descriptions alone. The Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York (SAAGNY), Montville, N.J., has announced its 2006-2007 Board of Directors. Those elected will serve a four-year term that begins at the conclusion of The PPAI Expo 2007 in Las Vegas. The ballot vote ends on Sept. 15, and results will be announced during that month. In an effort to increase voter participation, each distributor and supplier member, through their designated representative, will have the option of voting by mail or electronically through an independent election administrator.
