The Printing & Imaging Association of Mid America recently presented Gill Studios, Lenexa, Kan., with four “Best of Category” awards at the PIA 2010 Graphex Graphic Excellence Awards Gala. Entries were judged first on technical complexity and the quality of printing, then on design features and overall appearance.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA), Atlanta, and Staples Foundation for Learning, Framingham, Mass., a private foundation created by Staples Inc., announced the five finalists of the Staples Foundation for Learning National Service Project Awards. The annual initiative invites Boys & Girls Club Torch Club members to take action in addressing environmental issues within their communities.

Chicago-based R.S. Owens' "Elegance in Awards and Gifts" catalog received an award for Best Supplier Retail Catalog at this year's Awards and Recognition Association (ARA Show). The Best Supplier Retail Catalog is determined by a panel of trophy retailers who evaluate supplier catalogs for how well they present the supplier's line and enable dealers to merchandise product and ultimately close sales to customers.
