On May 17 iPROMOTEu announced that it will be hosting its fourth annual "Boardwalk Bash" during PROMOTIONS EAST 2012 in Atlantic City. The "Boardwalk Bash" will take place on Tuesday evening, June 5th, from 9:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. at Gypsy Bar in the Borgata hotel in Atlantic City. The "Boardwalk Bash" is a private event for the promotional products industry only and Gypsy Bar will be closed to the public.

Take Charge Indy, the pedigree racehorse owned by Chuck and Maria Sanford (owners of industry supplier Bag Makers), placed 19th in this year's Kentucky Derby, ending the race with a chip in its left-front ankle. The horse's health is reported to be otherwise good, and after surgery this week and 60 days of rest, the horse will be able to resume training. Take Charge Indy will reportedly be out of racing for the summer, but will be back in racing shape shortly after that.

Union, Illinois-based Bag Makers is pleased to announce its sponsorship of Take Charge Indy, a 3-year-old running in The Kentucky Derby this Saturday, May 5. The sponsorship will be in the form of an ad placement on the uniform of jockey Calvin Borel, rider of 3 of the past 5 Kentucky Derby winners.
