St. Louis-based Promotional Products Association of the Midwest (PPAM), recently held its Passing of The Gavel ceremony to install its 2007 president. Becky Blair, marketing coordinator at Dunbrooke, was handed the “gavel” from current PPAM president, Wendy Franklin, president of Franklin Promotional Group, signifying her installation as the organization’s 2007 president. This is the second time in PPAM history that the president has been from the Kansas City area. Historically, the leadership has come from St. Louis. Dunbrooke Apparel, Independence, Mo., today announced it has been sold to a private investment group lead by two of its current senior managers. The sale is part of a two-year strategic business plan set forth by both Dunbrooke’s former ownership group and the new ownership group. Larry Ramirez and Matt Gray, two current senior managers at Dunbrooke, will continue to lead the company as CEO and COO, respectively. PPAI, Irving, Texas, has announced the nominees for its 2007 Board of Directors. From the eight nominees, two suppliers and two distributors will be elected by PPAI supplier and distributor members. Those elected will serve a four-year term that begins at the conclusion of The PPAI Expo 2007 in Las Vegas. The ballot vote ends on Sept. 15, and results will be announced during that month. In an effort to increase voter participation, each distributor and supplier member, through their designated representative, will have the option of voting by mail or electronically through an independent election administrator. Dunbrooke To Launch 2007 Catalog This Fall

Dunbrooke Apparel, Independence, Mo., will distribute its 2007 product catalog during the first week of September to coincide with distributor requests for new product availability prior to the start of the New Year. Dunbrooke Announces New Decoration Options for Reebok, Hires Sales Rep Dunbrooke, Independence, Mo., announced an agreement has been reached allowing customers to decorate items from its Reebok Promotional Apparel line, which the company launched this past January. The exclusive license agreement initially called for decoration to comply with Reebok’s brand protection guidelines and to be performed only by Dunbrooke. Dunbrooke Outfits Disabled Troops, Hires Eberz Earlier this year, Dunbrooke, Independence, Mo., in conjunction with Blumberg Marketing, New Rochelle, N.Y., provided jackets for amputee soldiers and marines at the second annual “Support Our Troops Weekend” sponsored by the Adaptive Sports Foundation. Thirty-six members of the armed forces between the ages of 19 and 21 were given ski and snowboarding lessons with the help of customized equipment. “This is a part of getting back into life,” explained Anita Buyers of Blumberg Marketing, who has taught adaptive skiing for 20 years. “The purpose is to help rehabilitative efforts outside the hospital.” In other news, Joe Eberz joined Dunbrooke as
