Today, S&S Activewear, Bolingbrook, Ill., announced the acquisition of Eva Tees, Piscataway, N.J., apparel wholesaler to the imprintables industry. The addition of a company on the East Coast complements S&S Activewear's 2010 purchase of Americana Sportswear on the West Coast.

Last Friday, Beastie Boys rapper Adam Yauch (aka MCA) passed away after a three-year battle with cancer of the parotid salivary gland. He was only 47.

Rainkist Umbrella Co. has added Kim Pugner to the sales team for Rainkist as the new West Coast representative. Pugner has been in the industry for three years, starting at EVA Tees and as a prior West Coast inside sales rep for Vantage Apparel.
