On the second day of exhibits at PROMOTIONS EAST, distributors lined up to see who would win the biggest prize in the show's history: a new leased car, sponsored by Prime Line and Promo Marketing.

One lucky distributor will win a new Cadillac SRX Crossover in the 2012 Grand Prize Giveaway, co-sponsored by Prime Line and Promo Marketing, at next week's PROMOTIONS EAST show. Prime Line will also raffle off a Weber Performer Charcoal Grill to celebrate the introduction of its new aprons, towels and caps categories.

PROMOTIONS EAST 2012, running June 3-6 in Atlantic City, begins in just four days and will feature industry-leading education, the biggest giveaway to date and networking events to engage attendees and exhibitors.

Quality Certification Alliance has created a Distributor Advocacy Council (DAC) Charter that allows distributors to formally pledge their support for the organization. Fifteen distributor companies representing more than $800 million in promotional product sales have already signed the charter.

The Quality Certification Alliance (QCA), the promotional product industry's only independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping companies provide safe products, has awarded QCA Accreditation to Hit Promotional Products, located in Largo, Fla.

On May 17 iPROMOTEu announced that it will be hosting its fourth annual "Boardwalk Bash" during PROMOTIONS EAST 2012 in Atlantic City. The "Boardwalk Bash" will take place on Tuesday evening, June 5th, from 9:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. at Gypsy Bar in the Borgata hotel in Atlantic City. The "Boardwalk Bash" is a private event for the promotional products industry only and Gypsy Bar will be closed to the public.

In addition to the fabulous venue, iPROMOTEu has arranged for the high energy rock 'n roll cover band Sub*G to perform.

PPAI announced that renowned product safety authority Dr. Carol Pollack-Nelson will be a featured speaker at its second annual Product Safety Summit (PSS) in New Orleans, August 14-15, 2012, at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel.

The Quality Certification Alliance has negotiated with ink suppliers Marabu and Ink Cups Now (ICN) to test their entire lines used for promotional products manufacturing. Additionally, five other suppliers' inks that are frequently used by manufacturers of promotional products were tested.
