At 1:51 p.m. on August 23, a 5.9 earthquake rippled across the East Coast. The Washington Post reports the center of the quake to be near the town of Mineral, Va., and that it was felt as far as Boston and South Carolina.

McCook, Illinois-based GPA Substrate Solutions (GPA) announced it expanded its operations to twice its original size, enabling it to enhance its service and stocking level to meet the rising demand for specialty substrates on the East Coast.
