Leed's, New Kensington, Pa., signed a deal with New Balance, resulting in a variety of products from the athletic brand to be added to Leed's line this month.

Leed’s, based in New Kensington, Pa., a member of Polyconcept North America, announced it has made changes to improve its SureShip program. In January, Leed’s expanded SureShip to include uploading onto USB memory devices. Now, three more of the program’s parameters have been expanded to encompass more orders.

Leed’s announced the company will close its production operations in Warren, Ohio, effective April 27, 2009.  Leed’s began leasing the 256,000 square-foot facility in August 2006, to serve as an overflow warehouse and production facility to its New Kensington, Pa. headquarters.

THE PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS industry is an evolving one. Case in point: a little over five years ago when this writer first came aboard the Promo Marketing (formerly Promotional Marketing) ship, there was little, if any, talk of the environment and what the industry could do to preserve it. However, within the past two years alone, it seems the entire industry has gone “green,” with both suppliers and distributors heralding their environmentally responsible business practices and industry publications dedicating entire issues to the topic. Even with the widespread attention environmental safety has received, there are other notable topics brewing in the industry these days.
