In its annual fundraising campaign, Newton, Iowa-based The Vernon Company raised a total of $24,272 for the United Way of Jasper County.
Corporate-office employees raised $16,671 through a series of fundraising efforts, including raffle drawings, a silent auction, a walking taco lunch, a used office-equipment sale, “Vernon Survivor” games, and employee and retiree pledge card donations. The Vernon Company supported employees’ fundraising efforts, pledging a $7,500 match towards the campaign.
On August 22, Newton, Iowa-based distributor Newton Manufacturing introduced its newly formed internal advertising agency as an extension of its existing marketing department. The newly formed agency works with Newton sales representatives to provide additional levels of creativity and marketing support when working with key clients.
Not satisfied with simply sponsoring a hole for the Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce's annual golf outing, distributor Newton Manufacturing, Newton, Iowa, shook-up the event with a fun photo contest for participants.
