The unfortunate truth about working in an open-cubicle office: Sometimes it's difficult to concentrate. Whether it is general office chatter, springtime sneezes, or the techno music someone listens to a little too loudly in order to stay awake while entering data, office life can be distracting from the reason you are there: to work. I find most of the time that a cup of coffee is all I need to concentrate. Noises fade when I'm not an uncaffeinated curmudgeon, but some days coffee is not enough. On those days, I put on my headphones and rock out to Adele as I write about Keytags or Towels. (Fact: Adele's voice solves all problems. See: Skyfall.)
