So if we extend this a bit to include bulletproof items (like the aforementioned polo shirt), what are the odds this fabric could get to the people who could really, really use it in the line of duty? Right now Caballero’s line seems to be the domain of the rich and famous (and probably a few evil dictators, should I venture a guess). Will Kevlar vests fall by the wayside come 2040 in favor of lightweight bulletproof button-downs? Only time will tell.
But don’t expect it to become a promotional item until it’s washable, anti-microbial, and yes, moisture-wicking, too. I can imagine dodging gunfire might cause one to work up a bit of a sweat.
