Have You Heard About OrderMaster?
Question: Have you heard about OrderMaster?
Answer: I’ve been asked this question quite a bit over the last few months by distributors whom I have helped convert from OrderMaster to a QuickBooks-based solution. With their help and a fair amount of detective work, I found the owner.
I learned that OrderMaster is no longer being supported. I learned why, and that the owner has moved on to another business venture. We had several conversations together that ended up with my acquiring the rights to rewrite the OrderMaster software in a more modern language, but rewriting it in its entirety is proving to be much more challenging than expected, and so we are exploring how we might update it in pieces. More to come.
But, for now, distributors using OM are running a risk. In February, I heard from a distributor whose OM system crashed, and seven years of data were lost. If you are using OrderMaster, you should start looking into other options for the future.
P.S.—If you want to receive updates regarding the future of OrderMaster, email or call me.
