Would You Imprint That? Cold-Weather Edition

Some people follow New York Fashion Week religiously. Some don’t even know it exists (and is going on right now). And some look at most of the show recaps and think, “Wait, what? You expect someone in the real world to wear (or even be inspired by) that?”

I subscribe to that last group.

Still, I recognize that ridiculous fashion has its time and place. And I’m not above buying things that are a little out there—like these crocheted Anna and Elsa hats for my (adult) sister and me.

So I searched the Internet for a few of the silliest, most impractical cold-weather apparel and accessories that someone, somewhere out there may want to wear to bring you a fun game of “Would You Imprint That?”

Think of the largest hill you’ve sledded down. Now, think of walking back up that hill with a bulky sled in hand. Not always easy or fun. It may look like a bib, but (apparently) it’s not. Available in five basic colors, the Knit Dickey has no “cons” according to reviews on Harriet Carter. (Seriously.) It’s intended to keep you warm without making your outfit bulkier, which sounds great—if I could just figure out how this thing would keep anyone warm.

Perfect for those who:

• Didn’t leave enough room in the budget to afford a whole shirt
• Hate to be encumbered by layers
• Want to cover their Iron Man-like power sources or Superman logos under plain clothes

No longer do couples have to balance how much they want to hold each other’s hands in winter with how much they don’t want to get frostbite. Smittens let two people hold hands inside one oversized mitten, and include an extra set of mittens (for the two respective free hands)—available in mismatched sizes in case you don’t have the same size hand as your bae.

Perfect for those who:

• Have two different sized hands
• Like to hide public displays of affection in plain sight
