The big idea behind Big Picture Promo is this: The promo industry has been labeled as the ugly stepchild of marketing simply because most people within the industry forget that promo is a part of marketing.
The industry is filled with people pushing products without purpose, without a bigger understanding of how marketing works. Promo is a hugely successful marketing tool when combined with purpose. It is our goal with this blog to look at the promotions industry from the macro level and reveal the insights from a big picture perspective.
In taking this step back to look at the big picture, we see that that the industry has low barriers to entry and anyone can become a distributor for a low level of start up capital. These features are appealing to people looking to start their own business even if they have no background or understanding of marketing.
This is not to say that those people have no business being distributors, in fact we began our humble journey in a similar way. The point here is that in order to scale your company and create a rich network of return business, you must understand the higher level of promotions and their ability to carry your customer's message.
