The Law of Attraction: Gratitude Is the Attitude That Impacts our Altitude
In my last article, I discussed the fact that our thoughts are vibrating waves that don’t stop at the edges of our skulls. Our thought waves are vibrations that become part of the universe.
I’m told that we humans have up to 60,000 thoughts a day. Our thoughts shape our lives. Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t—you’re right.”
Since our thoughts shape our lives, we need to learn to control them. We all learned when we were younger that we need to control our mouths, right? But most of us never learned that we need to similarly control our thoughts.
The more we can control our thoughts, the more we can control our lives.
It’s my experience that negative thoughts come to most of us far more easily than positive ones. Negative thoughts make us negative people. If we want to live more positive lives, we need to have more positive thoughts. That’s where gratitude helps. It’s impossible to think negative thoughts when we think about what we are grateful for.
Go ahead. Think about the top 10 things you are grateful for right now. It’s all positive. It’s an amazing way to start your day, live your day and end your day. If you ever feel yourself slipping into negative thoughts, just take a timeout to think about what you are grateful for. It’s a quick fix for controlling your thoughts and thinking positively.
At one extreme, there are people who believe that, if you think positive thoughts strongly enough, you can impact the outcome of your life, your wealth, your health and your happiness. I believe this. I believe that our thoughts become part of the universe and help us attract more of what we want.
But you don’t have to believe this to find gratitude to be the attitude that can most impact your altitude.
By simply practicing gratitude, you will learn to control your thoughts. And the more you control your thoughts, the more positive and happier a person you will become.
Truly, gratitude is the attitude that impacts our altitude.
