Very few people should walk into a networking event and immediately start talking and even fewer, if any, should spend the whole night talking without listening.
Social Networking requires the same skills as any networking event. You must listen. Some people should listen more and talk less, and others are interesting enough to talk more and listen less. But essentially everyone who is looking to make a connection must listen as part of networking.
