Your Habits Determine Your Future ... and Your Fortune
Take a look at any successful sales professional and you'll see someone with great work habits. Today I'm going to share with you three habits that can make a big difference in increasing your sales and your bottom line.
Three Habits to Model:
Habit #1—Know Your Ideal Client: Not everyone will be a good fit for your promotional products business. The most successful sales professionals know who they want and don't want as clients and they don't waste time with the wrong prospects. Take the time to create a profile of your ideal prospect and look for prospects that fit your profile. Want larger orders and repeat business? Focus your time and energy with the prospects that have the ability, the need and the past history of spending larger sums on promoting their business on an ongoing basis.
Habit #2—Do the Research: Always go into your sales calls prepared. Understand the needs, challenges and buying cycle of your ideal clients. The more you know, the better equipped you'll be to meet their needs. The Internet and social media sites such as LinkedIn make it easier to do research these days.
Habit #3—Be 100% Client Focused: Focus on ways to make your client's business life easier such as: providing faster turnaround, order tracking, company stores, creative ideas or marketing help. Take the time to find out what's most important to your client and provide it. Put your focus on how you can help your client: save time, save effort, increase their business and make a great impression to name a few ... that's what will increase your sales.
