This year I attempted the bravest-of-brave tasks at PROMOTIONS EAST: Waking up at 6 a.m. to run in the Howard Alan Blum 5K 4 5K run.
I was a little nervous about the run, just because I'm not really in running shape and attempting anything athletic around your work peers is always kind of "ahhhhhh!" anyway, but it turned out to be really fun! The race follows a small and pretty loop of the A.C. boardwalk. It's dead at that hour of the morning, so you get this nice, quiet and reasonably private run along the boardwalk. I tend to like quiet, private things, so this run was PERFECT for me. Also, the weather was great, everyone was super-nice, and I didn't do as poorly as I thought I would (finished eighth out of like 35). So, good times all around!
