VIDEO: Free Products from the PROMOTIONS EAST 5K
This year I attempted the bravest-of-brave tasks at PROMOTIONS EAST: Waking up at 6 a.m. to run in the Howard Alan Blum 5K 4 5K run.
I was a little nervous about the run, just because I'm not really in running shape and attempting anything athletic around your work peers is always kind of "ahhhhhh!" anyway, but it turned out to be really fun! The race follows a small and pretty loop of the A.C. boardwalk. It's dead at that hour of the morning, so you get this nice, quiet and reasonably private run along the boardwalk. I tend to like quiet, private things, so this run was PERFECT for me. Also, the weather was great, everyone was super-nice, and I didn't do as poorly as I thought I would (finished eighth out of like 35). So, good times all around!
A ton of free stuff was given to each runner after the race. I filmed it all right after the race since (obviously) there were a lot of good running-related promos given out. So, if you're looking for any good running gear to sell, or maybe some ideas on bundling athletics-related items, give the video a watch! The event (and I assume product) sponsors are as follows: include: Jetline, Vonco, Admints & Zagabor, Showdown Displays, Headwear USA, Points of Light, Bulldog Packaging, Pro Towels Etc., CPS/Keystone, The Book Company and Tekweld.
That's all for this week guys! Thanks for reading and watching, and see you all next week!

MONDAY MIKE FACT: I ran the first half of the race along our Northeast Regional Sales Manager Meredith Edelman. Why only the first? Because I spent the second half dying and wondering why I tried to keep up with a person who can run faster than most cars.
